Everyone who knows me well, knows that I have a slight addiction to Sriracha. Maybe it’s not so slight. But it’s o.k. because I can stop whenever I want to. Ahem. Now that that’s out in the open, yesterday when Chef Michael Kahikina busted out several huge bags of peppers and other various mise en place for his homemade Sriracha, I was
salivating like a rabid dog intrigued.
Before long, Chef Mike had a small crowd of testers to taste his fluorescent blend of Fresno peppers, Anaheims, Thai bird chilies, jalapenos, shallots, roasted garlic sugar and vinegar – and as I walked by, to see what all the hubbub was about, I smelled….Sriracha!
