The Santa Monica Farmer’s Market is poppin’ with so many beautiful and endless shades of summertime concentrated colors – this week in stone fruit we said goodbye to cherries and hello to Red and Black Beauty plums- which will be a perfect transition for our clafoutis at work. Fat, gorgeous figs made an arrival and summer squash is in abundance in bright hues of yellow and green. We were the most excited about coming across blackberries at the Harry’s Berries stand – we’ve never seen them from their farm before – and they were as sweet as they were dark and juicy – hands down, the best I’ve ever had. Finally, the scent of fresh lavender drew us in to admire the most beautiful shades of purple blossoms – incredibly brilliant in color. Pantone, eat your heart out!
